Riding Along

The next day we headed North through Newquay and then onto Wadebridge. Newquay has a huge beach with lots of steep cliffs. It was very very windy here and surfers were rushing into the water with their boards, we didn't see much surfing happening though - they all just seemed to be sitting in the water... waiting!

It was pretty cold at Newquay but the scenery was just beautiful and the girls once again seemed to really entertain themselves by running on the grass.

After some lunch at Wadebridge we hired some bikes and rode along the Camel Trail to Padstow - a well known bike/walking track. There were heaps of people out riding the trail so you had to pay attention! The girls had a lovely time sitting in the bike trailer, telling stories, singing, eating smarties and laughing their heads off and Mickey did a great job pulling them along! (I had a bit of a go - but didn't last long!) There are 11 miles of disused railway beside the River Camel which has now been converted into a bike track between Padstow, Wadebridge and Bodmin. We only had time to ride the 5 1/2 miles from Wadebridge to Padstow (11 miles there and back again) - but of course if we had the time I would have loved to have gone the whole 22 miles (!!!)

{A quick look around Padstow - another lovely little town by the water and then back on the bikes for the ride back to Wadebridge.}

{Leilani's face is SO funny in this picture!}

{With 100 meters to go, Emily decided she would hop out and run!}

I love the trailer!!! I have often seen them around town with children in but it was great to see the girls. I bet they just loved it. Love the expressions on their faces. You two look like you were having a ball as well.
