Babbacombe

We were very lucky to stumble across Babbacombe Cliffs while in Torquay. We had planned on going to the Model Village in Babbacombe but by the time we got there we thought it was a bit late - just over an hour before closing time, and it was a bit more expensive than we had thought - so we decided we didn't want to rush it and headed for a drive somewhere else. Just around the corner though we found the most picture perfect place yet! It really was such a gorgeous day.... and it just felt so good to have the sun shinning and be looking out into that wide open space. So glad we saved our money and skipped the model village!

The view must have been good cause Emily wanted to take some pictures too... so she got out her princess camera! It was so cute to watch!

And this is Emily looking through the Eye Spy they gave us at The London Eye... came in very handy!

Leilani having a go with the real binoculars...

Hiding from Daddy...

Balancing...

And blowing of dandelions....

(Emily choking on a dandelion in the background!)

Lani and Emily are obsessed with winning at the moment - it started with racing up the stairs I think... they used to sing out at the top 'I'm the winner' but we have dulled that down now - and trying to teach them to win gracefully!!
They both love running... and we are always playing running races - Leilani is very good and gives Emily a head start... most of the time... look at them go!

While here, we also found out why they call it soccer..... because they play in their Socks!

For tea we had Fish & Chips from the best Fish & Chip place in the South West... so we are told - they were pretty good, especially the fish! What a perfect place to end our day... the views really were quite breathtaking.

I hope Emily got some good pics for her blog - where is her blog?
I'm sure nice weather helps make these places better as well. The gardens look so beautiful, and such a good place to run, run run.

btw re: dandelions -> one day when we were walking back from the shop, Locke had dandelion in one hand, lollipop in the other - he got a bit mixed up and wafted down a big furry mouthfull - hehe

We just love your young apprentice with her camera. Are you giving her tips?!!!!
The weather looks great at the moment. I am beginning to think that our 3 weeks are not going to be long enough to see some more of England. Poppa nearly choked when he read about Emily and the dandelion. I had to do some vigorous back slapping. Love to all.

Loved the pics, the girls are soooo gorgeous. Did you manage to receive the video message we sent?
Max can't wait to have the girls come and play again too, tell Leilani he misses her, and Em too.
Love Rach and Maxi :)

Because everyday is different and we can't remember them all, I thought I had better start writing them down. Welcome to life in the Challis home - where everyday is different!
