It's the little things that we love!

Today Mick sat his written exams. Both were 3 hours long - what a big day! So Leilani helped me cook him a cake and drew a picture for him. We are very excited because we now get daddy for the rest of the week! Well, he has to work but no study!!! Only 6 weeks until his next 2 big exams and then hopefully we get him for the next year!!! Yipee! It was a great night - Mick was home just before 6, we got to eat dinner together and then he played with the girls while I cleaned up... what a treat! We now get to sit and watch last nights 'tour' together - he gets to eat cake and I get to... watch! Anyway, Leilani & Emily were both very excited to have him home before they went to bed! It's been such a hard year in lots of ways, but we are starting to see the light... well, I better not count my chickens before they hatch!

Hi kids,

We are so pleased that the written exams are done. Now we wait for the results, then the Viva Voce!

Enjoy the break from the studies, all of you. Thanks for sharing your special evening.

Hmmm! Mick eats the cake. Does Han eat the box? (Fibre, fibre!)

Okay - silly question, but I have no idea. What is Mick hoping to be when all his study is finished? Last time I heard (AGES ago) he was hoping to be an anethetist. Is that right, did I dream it or has that changed?

Is there an extra little person in the picture that Lani has drawn - is she trying to tell us something?

Heheh.... No Ange, nothing you should know, but Lani did draw an extra person... she said it was 'just a friend'!!!

And Lisa, yes Mick is training to become an Anaesthetist, which takes 5-6 years once your a doctor! And there is SO much to know - so he is studying like ALL the time! It sucks, but hopefully in about 2 1/2 years it will all be over... FOREVER!!

And Ange (H) I did have a taste of the icing - I was a little naughty today, but when you cut the cake and give some to Lani and emily - you are bound to get a bit of icing on your fingers.... why would you wash it off when you can just lick!!! heheh I'm not very good at this challenge thing huh!!

Oh good - I'm not crazy then! Wow that is incredible that it takes so long after you are already a Dr! No wonder they make so much money!! Last year Noah had his adenoids out and we went private and the anaesthetist bill was more than anything else. It was crazy, but I guess you pay them for keeping you safe while you are under - your life is in their hands :) Hope the next two and a half years go fast for you all.

Hannah, I think you've done well to only have a taste! I made pizzas and after we'd had them found out the tomato base had sugar, plus a little taste of Michaela's custard (I guess we can't be totally obsessed about it!).

Because everyday is different and we can't remember them all, I thought I had better start writing them down. Welcome to life in the Challis home - where everyday is different!
