First Week in the Taunton Ward

Well, we made it to church! Which was a big relief because when we did the drive-by the day before we couldn't find the chapel.... because there isn't one!! The Taunton Ward meets in a conference centre, called Lygnford House.

There weren't all that many people there on Sunday, apparently because of all the snow (good excuse to stay home!!) so it will be interesting to see how many are there next week. I went to primary with Leilani and Mick took Emily to Nursery so we didn't get to attend class. There were about 15 children in primary but they were all a bit older then Lani, so she looked tiny!!! After sacrament meeting we had people queueing up to meet us!!!! (We are pretty cool!!) Well not quite queueing but everyone was very nice and a lot of them came and said hello. We start at 10am which is a great time, but we have sacrament meeting last, which is just strange!!! We are excited to get to know everyone, a bit nervous and missing all the familiar faces in Hobart Ward but I guess that's what moving away it all about!!! Church is only a 5 minute drive away which is fantastic compared to our 25 min drive back home. We are apart of the Bristol Stake which has about 5 or so wards in it. But it sound like we might be the smallest ward out of all of them. Our next mission is to track down the Temples here I guess. That will be very exciting! I'll fill you in more about our ward after next weeks visit!!

oh... your in Bristal Stake. There was a missionary in Finland, who was in the MTC with me from Bristal. He has like 9 Brothers and they all look the same. So when you have conference etc, you should look out for 10 people that all look the same!!! His name was Ben Sewell. Not like you care, but just thought I would throw that in there so we had some 'common ground' lol.

Sounds like all is going to be good over there. Just pray you aren't called as the RS president....argh!

Because everyday is different and we can't remember them all, I thought I had better start writing them down. Welcome to life in the Challis home - where everyday is different!
