First Floor

We have been so blessed with finding this house. We really didn't have a lot of choice as most furnished places (and there were only a few) we rang up about had already been let. Most of them were also not available until end of March/April and had only very basic furniture - like white goods, 1 double bed and a sofa. When we saw this place on the net it didn't look all that great and it was a little more than we wanted to pay, but we were running out of options and thought we had better check it out anyway. As soon as we walked in we new it was ours!! It had everything - all the things we thought we may have to buy - plates, glasses, cutlery and a TV!!! 3 single beds, 1 double bed and most importantly (for us) it was available NOW!!!! Everything seemed a little too perfect really but we weren't going to complain!!

When we moved in, we had to do lots of cleaning (I think all rentals are left pretty dirty here) and a bit of rearranging and pretty soon it finally felt like we were home! There is plenty of room here everyone so we are expecting some visitors!!! Start saving for your flights and you can come and stay with us for free!! (I mean it... we need some babysitters!)

Here are some pictures of the first floor....

This is our couch.... quite a little different from the last one huh!!

Our lounge room looking over to the front entrance, showcasing the 'Frank Sinatra My Way' poster... and check out that TV!!! Lani's eyes nearly popped out of her head when we turned it on after watching that little one for 2 weeks!

This is our kitchen/laundry! All the houses have their washing machines in the kitchens here, even the big ones I think. Most of them are washers and dryers like ours, which is quite handy when you put it on at night and wake up the next morning and it's washed and dried. Which is what I have been doing because it's SO noisy having it go during the day when you are home.

Most of the furniture here is really nice. We met the landlord the other day who is also a really nice man, he used to live here but moved to Plymouth to be closer to his 2 daughters a few years ago and plans to come back one day.

And this is Lani stealing grapes. The grapes have been really nice here actually - we can't get enough of them!

You will have to wait to see the 2nd and 3rd floors.... because I need to go and clean them up!!

Oh wow - that place looks so lovely!!! How funny having the washing machine in the kitchen! So glad you found somewhere so nice. The girls rooms like cosy - lucky you don't have lots of stuff to fill them up too much. :)

if we decide to enter lotto and we win we'll definitely be there for a visit - otherwise we'll just dream about it for now...print some pictures to life size and sit them on your couch then it will seem like we're there....

Because everyday is different and we can't remember them all, I thought I had better start writing them down. Welcome to life in the Challis home - where everyday is different!
