Real Time!

It feels good to be blogging in 'real time'! This morning we woke up to a snow covered ground. The most we have had since being here. It was great, and the kids were so excited! After the excitement wore off though it actually became quite annoying because it was quite thick on the roads and seemed to hang around for ages, so it made it hard to go anywhere, and a lot of things were closed. It was 2˚c today and meant to be getting down to -8˚ tonight. The snow is meant to clear though and I hope is does cause we would like to get some site seeing in. Here we are playing in the snow this afternoon.

This is High Street, its kind of like the mall but a lot nicer, they have stalls down the middle selling fresh fruit, vegies and breads etc. I'm excited to go and check it out one day. It was all closed today.

Oh wow - I haven't checked your blog for a while as Aaron went over our download limit this month and the net is so slow, and driving me mad, but I'm so happy to see all these new posts!!!
What an adventure you are on!!! When I lived in the US for a year the snow was fun for about two days and then I hated it. It was so scary to drive in and eve though it was warm inside, it was just so hard to do much else outside or go anywhere.
Your place looks interesting - that backyard is HUGE!! lol ;) What a pain about having to do the washing like that - I won't ever complain again!! :)
Hope you all catch up from the jet lag soon. So nice to hear you have some friends over there already. Will this week be your first week at church then? Hope the ward is a good one and you get to make lots of friends there.
Keep blogging!!! It's all so interesting - I love hearing about all the different things you are doing.

Riley and Grace love seeing the pictures of the girls in the snow. Grace thought the snowman looked like Emily (I think because it was nearly the same size as her!!!) We miss you already but are happy to see you are having lots of adventures.

The gumboots look good. It looks awesome there - I want to come. I bet Lani and Emily are loving the snow...but it does get old really quick.

Another wonderful catch-up read I just read! I am so glad you can enjoy all this with your little family. I lived in Denmark for a year (try and visit there it's just lovely!) and I arrived in January to horrible dark cold days. I was so depressed until March but having kids would have made it so much more exciting because they're excited about everything.

Enjoy discovering your new home area - I am so happy you're there and there are people to look after you. Hope you have a nice supportive ward too.

Because everyday is different and we can't remember them all, I thought I had better start writing them down. Welcome to life in the Challis home - where everyday is different!
