Off to the Nut!

On Monday morning (29th December) Mum and Dad picked me and the girls up from Grandma & Poppas and we headed off on our big Woolley Family holiday at The Nut (Stanley). We wished Daddy could have come, as we were all starting to miss him because we had already had 2 nights without him, but we tried to enjoy ourselves anyway, and we did.

The drive was long but the girls were great and seemed to keep themselves entertained most of the time. We arrived in Stanley a few hours later and were very excited to see most of the family already there. We are so lucky to have such a big family to hang out with and take trips together. Even though not everyone can always be there we always have such a big group and it makes it fun no matter what we do or where we go. We missed those that couldn't make it this year, especially Aunty Shell, as she was one of the ones who chose Stanley as our next destination, but we all enjoyed ourselves just as she would have wanted us to.
The weather wasn't all that kind to us so we didn't see much of the beach but I think it made it quite a relaxing holiday. We walked up the Nut, shopped at Smithton and went to Dismal Swamp - where some of us went down the very scary slide. We also visited Highfield House, Allendale Gardens, went out to dinner, walked around Stanley Town, played board games and much more!  The girls spent most of their time with Meea and Kayla doing makeup in the cabins! They had a great time!!!!
We stopped in at Boat Harbour on the way home - what a beautiful place! And after a few more stops we were all glad to be back and begin the New Year of 2009!!

Here are a few random shots from our Stanley Holiday!

the photo of you Lani and Emily is gorgeous.

Because everyday is different and we can't remember them all, I thought I had better start writing them down. Welcome to life in the Challis home - where everyday is different!
