Shopping at Castle Rock

We spent our first day in Colorado going shopping at the outlets in Castle Rock. Because we slept in, we didn't get away until after lunch so it was a good thing that the shops were open until 8pm. It was quite cold today, much colder than last night and when we arrived at Castle Rock it started to snow and the temperature dropped to about -6˚c, yes minus six!!! In the shops it was beautiful and warm though and you wouldn't know it was so cold until you went outside to the next shop. Emily had a great time in the toy store, and in between shops Leilani and Emily would play in the snow - they loved it!

We spent most of our time in kids clothes shops and my eyes were so wide when we went in the first one, which was Carters!  I was too excited to think!!! Look at all the stuff, and it was cheap, cheap cheap!!

I'm not sure who was having the most fun though.... me, Leilani or Emily!!?
Lani went straight for the shoes! She was a little disappointed she couldn't get sandals though, but was happy with the flashing covered shoes she ended up with! (Will have to show you them later).

Emily went straight for the tights and acted like a real shopper, testing them for all sorts of activities....

It got dark quite quickly, and everything started looking very pretty.

This is Emily trying to catch snow flakes

8pm finally came and it was time to go home and check out all our bargains! We got jumpers for $3.50, sunglasses for $2.50, hats for $2.50, pants for $2.50, gloves for $2.50 and in one shop called The Children's Place the most expensive thing I bought was a 'sweater' for $4.99!!! It was GREAT!! And here it all is....

Oh wow - soooo cheap!! I was amazed with how cheap clothes and food was over there too (I lived there for 13 months). It is so strange seeing the girls play in snow. It is going to be 31 degrees here today :)

What great buys! I love shopping for children's clothes. The girls are going to be so trendy and warm in their new outfits.

Because everyday is different and we can't remember them all, I thought I had better start writing them down. Welcome to life in the Challis home - where everyday is different!
