Leilani Turns 4

Look at our little girl all grown up! On Wednesday 4th March Leilani turned 4. We had the celebrations a day early so Daddy could party with us, and what a great day it was!!

Leilani's special day started with lots of present opening...

... she said her favourite part was the Bratz wrapping paper.... it was just what she wanted!!!

She was very kind and let Emily help her open some.

She was given a Tea Set from Grandma & Grandad...

... and an Aquadraw from Grandma & Poppa!

All dressed up ready to go out for lunch and a play. Emily has decided it's a good idea to pull faces when having her photo taken! Doesn't Emily look different with a piggy tail!?

We had a really nice late lunch/early tea, the girls ordered macaroni cheese and their new favourite thing... sausages and mash potato! Followed by Ice cream and fruit with chocolate dipping sauce!

In between food it was play play play!

Back home and it was cake time!! Leilani had been eying off the Princess Cake for a long time, but I think she was satisfied when she saw it at Elena's party last week because she decided to go with this Smartie chocolate cake.... which I was very pleased about!! We still had Princess cups and plates though!

Leilani helped sing herself Happy Birthday and was very excited to blow out all those candles... not sure if the number 4 was meant to count as one of the 4 candles or not.... so anyway.... I guess she kinda got 5 candles... what do you think? Does the number candle count as one of 'the' candles!!???

And boy did they love that cake!!! Lani and Emily both couldn't get enough of it!!! (Maybe because I don't cook cakes often enough!!)

After the cake we decorated Princess Crowns and played Pin the Tail on the Donkey!

They loved it!

We also got a few packages in the post and did lots of ichat.  We had a fun day and it was especially nice to have Daddy home for the whole day.
So that's the birthdays over for another year!! Thanks to everyone for the cards and gifts.... it's been an exciting couple of weeks getting so many things 'through the hole in the door'!!!

Looks like Lani had a great birthday. Lucky they weren't sick then.
Emily looks like she has just about had enough cake in one of those pics.

Oh her expressions crack me up - especially the one where she sees the presents!!! Your girls birthdays are close. Glad they are feeling better and could enjoy the day.

Happy birthday Leilani! Your girls are the most photogenic little girls ever! I wish Maddi would sit still and pose for a photo like Emily and Leilani. It's nice that you still go to a special effort for a family party.

Happy birthday lani! what a cool birthday you must have had...wow, the big 4!

Because everyday is different and we can't remember them all, I thought I had better start writing them down. Welcome to life in the Challis home - where everyday is different!
